Fake Rice in the Philippines
Filipinos love their rice. But since there's not much support for local farmers (plus typhoons), our rice yield is very low, most of the time we have to import rice elsewhere. And now our rice supply is compromised with fake rice made from plastic.
The fake rice issue saddens me. Literally poisoning people and innocent kids in the long run from this plastic made rice. What is the world coming to?
How can you even tell? You only get a hunch after you've cooked and eaten the rice. If you see your rice dry up and congeal like styrofoam, then you've been eating fake rice. I just hope the authorities put a stop to the onslaught of this fake rice.
